  1. 1995 has brought a few new area codes into effect.  Some are not yet in effect, so please read the "New area codes/Effective dates" file to find out what's changed and when these new area codes will take effect.

  3. Changes in AreaCodeFinder™ :
  4. 1. Added Postal Codes for Canada
  5. 2. Added new area codes for 1995, including flash points on the map.
  6. 3. Several functional enhancements.
  7. 4. 700 cities may be added to each area code, which means that AreaCodeFinder™ 4.0 can now hold more than 109,000 cities.
  8. 5. The major change to this version is the use of a data file, as opposed to using AreaCodeFinder's own resource fork, *which means that upgrades will require a data file only, instead of replacing the AreaCodeFinder™ engine itself everytime a new area code comes into effect. (When new area codes that aren't used now, such as 125 come into effect, I will provide a patch to the engine).
  9. 6. Implemented the use of the "ACF Data Merger" for users with a previous version of AreaCodeFinder™ that allowed the user to add his/her own cities.  This "ACF Data Merger" will copy the information from an older version of AreaCodeFinder™ into a separate data file for later use.  The "ACF Data Merger" is useless to individuals who did not add their own cities, postal codes, or area codes.

  11. 7. Fixed a printing bug which skipped the 133rd and 266th entries.
  12. 8. Fixed the problem where the maximum code entered could not exceed 920.  The new limit is 999.
  13. 9. Fixed a problem where an extra flash would happen in several of the dialog buttons.
  14. 10. Added new cities to several different states where the area code information was incorrect or obsolete.

  18. Area code 303 now flashes in its correct location on the map.
